Sabbath and Snow

It was snowing when I woke-up this morning. I had to be at church by 7:30 AM. The first service was a mess, and I got alittle frustrated with the worship team. They hadn't provided me with a program for the service, and I struggled to figure out what they wanted. Second service went alot better. I really don't enjoy working on the projection team, but I guess I'm going to stick my year out. It sure doesn't bring me closer to God. I came home and just relaxed the rest of the day. It snowed, hailed, or rained all day long. Tonight Debbie and I watched some TV and just relaxed. I'd like to install a phpBB on my site. That's my next project.

Sleep of the dead

I slept really hard last night. I just felt like sleeping in. Damm work! I had to wake-up. The kids straightened up. I didn't have any problems. The day went quickly. That was good. I didn't feel like being there anyway. After work I had to go right to church, and prepare the Mediacast presentation for Sabbath. I didn't get home until about 9:00 PM. It rained on and off all day. While driving too church, it started snowing at the top of Wildwood Canyon. On the way home it was still snowing. So I guess it snowed for 4 hours. It didn't melt and it started to pile up. I was pretty surprised that it didn't melt. Debbie was home, when I arrived home. I really missed her when she was in Tucson, AZ. for the week. She has been moved to a new job in customer education. She might have to travel some and that's not good. We both felt really tired, so off too bed.

Tough Day

I had a rough day at work. The kids have been wild. I just didn't feel like dealing with it. I came home after school and just needed to relax. That's all for today.

Wednesday

It was another flex day. The kids left at noon. We had tutoring for an hour after lunch. Students, who are not passing Math or Language Arts are required to attend. It only lasts an hour, and it doesn't seem like it does much good. I don't think most of the kids care. We had a parent conference. Then I left for home. I had to pick-up Britty, at 6:30 PM. after MGA Varsity Softball practice. Then off to my Kiwanis meeting at Marlas restaurant in Beaumont. It was a nice meeting. I was sworn in along with six others. About twenty five members attended. We had a nice dinner and ceremony. I met alot of really nice people. Kiwanis has both male and female members. It is a service club who's main focus is helping kids. I guess that's why I joined.

Tuesday

I didn't sleep last night, but then I never do when Debbie is gone. I really miss her alot. I think I got about three hours asleep. We had the 7th grade writing exam today at school. I don't have any 7th grade students, so I did have to give it. The change in the schedule made my 8th grade kids crazy. They just didn't calm down all day, it was a struggle for control. I talked with Debbie and she seemed to be doing okay, better then me. She's in Tucson, AZ for business. She'll be back on Friday. Britty had a softball game after school. Britty pitched and played 3rd base. She did a great job, hit a few good base hits and threw some serious heat. They defeated Apple Valley Christian, 11-1 in a mercy game. When we got home, I bbq'd some hamburgers and relaxed with Marty for dinner. Then just time to relax with the dogs and some reading.

Monday

I sure didn't sleep well last night. My back was killing me. I don't think I got more then three hours of sleep. Debbie left this morning for a business trip to Tucson, AZ. She is going to be gone all week. She flew out of Ontario, CA and it's just a short flight. She's been transferred to the Education Department of Misys. She'll be teaching customers about the system. I'm afraid that might mean quite a bit of travel for her. I'm really going to miss her. I never sleep well when she's not next to me in bed at night. School was cool today, nothing exciting. Ryan's girlfriend broke-up with him. That's really bad, he deserves better. I wish he'd find a nice girl and settle down. I think he'd be a good husband and father. He's just that nice of a person. I ran a few errands on the way home. Then I picked up Britty. I just spent the night watching the History Channel.

Sunday

I woke up very late this morning. It was almost 8:00 AM! I'd been up until almost 3:00 AM, working on this blog. Britty and I went out and sold some candy bars to the neighbors for her MGA Choir trip this morning. We sold alot actually. I was surprised! I guess it's because Britty has such a nice smile and they all know me pretty well. Debbie and I went down too Barnes and Noble in Redlands and I thought I'd by a book, but I'm just feeling cheap lately. I even have a gift card from Christmas, but I feel the need to save my money. I think I got that from my Dad. I sure wish my parents lived closer. They live up in Northern California, a long 13 hour drive from here. They are still together and this year it will be 50 years they've been married. I think that's really something. I mowed the front and played with the dogs for awhile and that made me feel better. I like my little dogs, they mean alot to me. Chili is mine, Coco belongs to Debbie, and Candy is Britty's little girl. Three Miniature Pinschers are alot of work. Tonight, Marty and Lonnie are taking us out for dinner. I'm hungry and we are going to my favorite Mexican place, El Charo, in Cherry Valley. I have to go get ready so I'll write more later.

Done!

I really think I'm done for the most part with the design of the blog. Most everything looks good. I still might create an icon for the RSS Feed, but that isn't that important. Please comment about what you do or don't like.
