TGIF

I'm glad it's the weekend! I need sometime to relax. I've been pretty busy these last few days. I'd like to spend sometime getting caught up with this blog and work alittle on the BCRG site. I haven't spent anytime taking pictures, which upsets me. I really need to just stop and take a few pictures. I have to go to the church tonight and set-up the presentation for Easter service, Sabbath. It usually takes me about 4 to 5 hours to get everything done. Hopefully I'll be home by 10:00 PM tonight. I got to church and everything went smoothly. Chris is the pastor for Easter and she is always really organized. Kathy McMillan is the worship leader and she is always really on the ball too. I'm glad that I am working with a good team tomorrow. It can really be a miserable time if you get people that don't clearly explain the things they are going to be doing and what they want you to do. The last time I did it I almost felt like not doing it anymore. I don't know what got into to me when I got home but I didn't feel like going to sleep and I stayed up until well past midnight. That's something that I usually don't do.

Wednesday

I had another nice day at work. The kids left at noon and we had meetings most of the afternoon about retention and promotion. We all left alittle early. I went to my Kiwanis meeting, but forgot my silly hat. It was a "silly hat" meeting. We had a nice dinner and we had a few new guests come by to check the club out. Hopefully we get a few new members come in and we grow alittle. We need new members help be more active in the community. I'm glad I joined Kiwanis. It's a good organization and we have some really nice members.

It's Spring and the weather is great!

Tuesday

Today was uneventful. I went to work, had a parent meeting, and came home. I don't mind meeting with parents, and in this case it was really necessary. This child might be getting retained, unfortunately. I feel bad for the kid, since he is such a nice guy, but he just isn't doing the work. Overall the parent was very supportive and we both want the child to be successful in school. We decided to wait until some testing was completed and then we are going to meet again to make sure we are both doing what is best for the child. I came home played some SWAT-4 and went to sleep.

Monday

I had a pretty good day at school. I left quickly after school, because of a Blood bank appointment in San Bernardino. I donated a double yield of platelets today on a single arm machine. It seems like I am always able to give a double yield, which makes me feel good since I am giving twice the regular amount to someone that needs it. I'm glad that I am donating regularly again. I think it's important to donate. Someday I might need someone to be nice enough to donate a kidney to me, since I have a genetic kidney disease. As usual, I felt really drained afterwards. I went right home and relaxed, falling to sleep about 9:00 PM.

Sunday

I woke up late this morning. I didn't get to sleep until about 2:00 AM this morning, and I sure was tired from all the fun last night. I still can't believe that we had such a nice time. I really need to thank Rudy for inviting us to the United German American Club of Beaumont, monthly dinner and dance. It was nice to hear German being spoken it reminded me of when I was little. The pastries also reminded me of home. All the people were so friendly. Debbie and I have decided to come back with Debbie's parents to the Mothers Day dance and dinner. They promised me some really good German food. I'm looking forward to it. I went out to Jacks for the afternoon and watched NASCAR. It was nice to visit. He's off work with an injury and in alot of pain. He was injured at work and I'm not sure he'll be able to go back to work. I really don't like to see him feeling that way. Britty came home today from her choir trip to the Bay area. It's nice to have her home. I'm not looking forward to this week at work. It's gong to be CAT-6 testing all week long. I got to sleep early and read for awhile.
