Something Debbie and I are trying out.

Nonsense is what it's all about

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.

The Black Dog

I start to think there really is no cure for depression, that happiness is an ongoing battle, and I wonder if it isn't one I'll have to fight for as long as I live. Just feeling the post holiday blues lately. This is a battle that I will clearly win, once I get back into the swing of things. it's just kind of a miserable fight right now.

Back to blogging and Health Month

It's been abandoned for a few years with only occasional posts, but I think I am going to try and get
back to blogging on a daily basis. Nothing spectacular just things that are going on in my life and other interesting things.
So with that out of the way, Health Month is something that I am involved in.You can visit the site at www.healthmonth.com it's a service/site that tracks life style related changes that you try to make each month. You make a set of rules that attempt to follow and you gain or loose points depending on how you follow your rules. Gamification of health. Health Month is all about making small improvements to your health, one month at a time. Players can choose 1 or more rules to try to stick to for a month from the many different dietary, fitness, relationship, mental health, and financial health behaviors that are currently in the game. For first time players, 1-5 rules is a nice way to start. Choose rules that you want to work on, and try to make small improvements to your current behavior rather than going cold-turkey, whole-hog, or crazy-wombat. You can always ratchet up the difficulty next month, once you get the hang of it.
