Regret and hope.

Some things I know I shouldn't have done, but they had to be done because I hope it helps someone else out that is very close to me. It makes me wonder if it will change anything, or is it just going to save him for the time being.

Create online business card - card.ly Home an interesting idea that would be nice if I could generate the code and place it on my own webserver.

Gandhi

The Roots of Violence:
Wealth without work,
Pleasure without conscience,
Knowledge without character,
Commerce without morality,
Science without humanity,
Worship without sacrifice,
Politics without principles.

Too much thinking

Thinking too much tonight. It's a problem that runs in my father's side of the family. I can't sleep. Classes are almost over and I have papers due. Focusing on work is difficult. It looks like I won't be getting any vacation this Summer. Summer school at Beaumont High School is going to take almost all Summer.

Routine

"I began to realize how simple life could be if one had a regular routine to follow with fixed hours, a fixed salary, and very little original thinking to do.

Roald Dahl (13 September 1916 – 23 November 1990)

Another day done

I just finished a paper off for my class on Thursday night. Twelve pages long and it feels great to have focused for that long and not taken a break for some "distraction time." Thins are rough around the house and I am looking foreword towards the end of these classes. I'll have about a week off and I'll be back at Beaumont High finishing off some internship hours and my job teaching at Palm Middle School will start again on August 12th. It'll be nice getting back into a routine and letting some time pass.

Taking it one day at a time.

"Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves." ~Dale Carnegie

The long day ahead of me.

The weekend is over and as usual it didn't seem long enough. I didn't get half the things done that I would have liked, but that's life. I'll be continuing to work towards fulfilling my 600 hour internship for graduate school this week, which is not a whole lot of fun. I guess boring would be a more appropriate word to describe it, but it is close to home and they are very nice at Beaumont High. I have alot to get done today and hopefully I'll be able to get most of it done. I usually feel happiest when all my daily work is done. I've been up since around 4:30 AM and even for me that's early. This Summer is really a drag. All work and no fun, I think I'd rather see graduate school just be over, I'm not sure I've learned much, it's more a matter of fulfilling requirements, not actual learning.

Reading and Action

"A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting."

Henry David Thoreau (born David Henry Thoreau; July 12, 1817 – May 6, 1862)
