I just installed the newest version and am sitting here watching it. It has some new content which I think is key to it's success. National Geographic is now on!
Visiting with Cousin John from Ireland
Debbie, Britty, Izzy and I went to visit my cousin John, Friday night, in Upland, CA. He is over from Ireland visiting his son, Shawn. He is a pretty interesting person. He bought Castle Ballytarsna in Ireland and the adjacent properties in 1998. He is restoring the castle and the bawn wall, which is currently just a foundation. Castle Ballytarsna is one of several hundred Tower Houses that dot the Irish landscape, Ballytarsna was built by Sir William Hackett at the end of the fifteenth century. Both the Tower and the bawn (curtain) wall were built at the same time. By the sixteenth century, Ballytarsna was the principal stronghold of the Hacketts in the area. Even though the castle fell into disuse by the end of the seventeenth century, J. D. White in 1890 declared "...It would not take much to make [Ballytarsna] livable again." Ballytarsna Castle is situated 6 miles north of the historic town of Cashel in County Tipperary, Ireland.

Optimist
"I am an optimist, unrepentant and militant. After all, in order not to be a fool an optimist must know how sad a place the world can be. It is only the pessimist who finds this out anew every day. Peter Ustinov (1921- ) British Actor. Dear Me, Chapter 9

Too much of a good thing?
Most of one's life...is one prolonged effort to prevent oneself thinking. Aldous Huxley (1894-1964)
Reche Canyon burros
Officials aren't exactly sure how the burros got into Reche Canyon, although a former Rialto horse rancher has said he released 22 burros into the canyon in the early 1950s after roping them in Death Valley. I saw them today. It made me happy to see that they seem to be doing well. It was always a big deal as a kid to see the burros. It brings back good memories of growing up in Sunnymead. I really miss my small town, it's so big and now it's called Moreno Valley. I really have to thank my Mom and Dad for raising me in such a good place. I have only good memories now.
Fire Alarm
The fire alarm gets pulled and the school goes wild. No one has a clue what to do. Sad actually, because what if it was a real emergency.

Computers can piss me off!
What a waste of a day working on these darn computers. Still one of them is giving me fits. I'd like to throw it against the wall. I'll fix it though, I always do. Man over computer.
