Fourth of July

It was a slow day today. It was very hot and although my friend had invited us over for a bbq, Debbie, Britty and Izzy stayed home. I went over to Jack's and enjoyed the bbq and city fireworks. A quiet holiday.

Tuesday

I had a two hour long dentist appointment this morning with a friend from church, Dr. Parker in Calimesa, CA. Everything went well, just the usual stuff, no cavities. Right after I got done with the appointment, I rushed home, picked up izzy and went to "Playday" at the park. We played until about noon, and then we drove over to the new Banning, CA plunge to register Izzy and I for "Waterbabies" swim lessons. Then home for lunch. Izzy would not go down for a nap, so we went for a drive. We drove around the Banning "Bench" and Oak Glen. She fell asleep in the truck and got about an hour and a half of sleep. Dinner was at Chili's and it was bad. The service was slow and the order got all mixed up. Then home and some time to relax.

Ditching Sabbath

We never made it to church today. I was just exhausted and slept in until 8:00 AM. That's late for me. Debbie thought she might have some Spyware on her laptop so I worked on her computer for about three hours making sure that it was clean. We played out in the pool and tried to stay cool.

Friday

Another morning walk with Izzy and we stopped at the playground. A man and his young daughter stopped at the park while we played and he was riding a Segway. Follow the link to check it out, http://www.segway.com/. It's pretty cool so he and I chatted for awhile about it while the girls played together. I sure wish I had a toy like that. After we got home and cleaned up, Izzy and I left to run some errands. I picked up the part I ordered at Redlands Toyota, picked up my check at work/school, and had lunch at PJ's Brew Pub in Moreno Valley with Ryan. Izzy was a real handful, but I did manage to have my meal and visit some with Ryan.
When we got home Izzy took a nap. I did all my yardwork, and my yard sure looks good. Debbie, Izzy and I went to Chuckie Cheese in Hemet with the neighbors for dinner. The place is brand new and it was madness. Kids running all over the place and money being spent on poor pizza and games. I didn't enjoy it at all and I don't think it was a good place for Izzy either. She didn't seem to really have that good of a time. Debbie and the neighbors enjoyed it though. Chuckie never even came out for the kids.

Thursday

Long walks with Izzy in the morning, and some playtime at the playground. I had to run some errands during the day. I had to order a part at Redlands Toyota for my Tundra, the driver's side access door window latch broke. Then off to check out the new "My Gym" to sign Izzy up for classes, toddler exercise. I ordered the Wood laminate flooring for the house at Home Depot and then went to the San Bernardino Blood Bank. At the Blood bank I was deferred because of low iron. That's been a problem before and I haven"t been feeling well lately anyway. Debbie told me I had to go get a good meal and that I needed to start eating three meals a day and not skip meals. So off to "Famous Dave's BBQ" in Redlands. I had beef brisket Texas style, corn on the cobb, baked beans, corn muffin, fries and a salad. It seemed like alot of food when I ordered, but the portions are small and the beef was luke warm. Not much of a meal, poor actually. I won't be returning and don't think it's worth the price or effort. I had four hours to waste before my dinner meeting started, so I went to Barnes and Noble bookstore and the Adventist Book Center. Then a dinner meeting at Coco's in San Bernardino and my "AA" meeting. I just got home as Izzy was just getting to sleep.
